HYROX Amsterdam Race Review: What the RAI Floor Is Really Like
Tuesday, 5 May 2026 · 3 min read · HybridRaceCalendar Editorial
Course notes, running surface, crowd flow and practical advice from the busiest hybrid race weekend in the Netherlands.
RAI Amsterdam runs one of the smoothest hybrid weekends in Europe, but the run loop is tighter than most athletes expect and includes several sharp turns per kilometre.
Pace the first two kilometres slower than feels right. Athletes who go out hard lose far more time in the sled lane than they gained on the road.
The venue is twelve minutes from Amsterdam Zuid station, so you do not need a car. Book accommodation early — the RAI weekend fills the surrounding hotels.
Spectator access is good, with clear sightlines over the wall ball zone at the finish.
