Recovery Between Hybrid Races

A realistic seven-day protocol for getting back to full training after a hard hybrid race.
The damage from a hybrid race is mostly eccentric: lunges, sled pulls and burpees leave you sore for days even when your engine feels fine.
Days one and two should be walking and easy mobility only. Resist the urge to test your legs.
Days three to five reintroduce easy aerobic work and light upper-body strength.
By day six or seven most athletes can handle a moderate session. If your resting heart rate is still elevated, extend the easy block rather than pushing through.
